She and my GGGG Grandfather Crabtree Smyth had a my GGG Grandfather John Punhuff Smyth and his siblings . The story is that Crabtree and Rhoda left their children with his Aunt Mary {Smyth} Pennington and her husband Thomas Pennington and "went west " with a " bunch of indians " who "may have been " Rhoda's family .
